Ideas
You were digging a hole in your backyard when you fell into a worm hole and got stuck in the 14th century. The king's spoiled, crabby, and all around terrible son wants you to compose a cheesy, jolly, uplifting tune to brighten his spirits, or the king will have you executed. (Damn worm holes!)
Musician for hire! Your services have been contracted out to an African tribe, who want you to compose a tribal tune for their ritualistic ceremonies. Oh, and don't drink the shampanya.
Complete the WIP: The winner of the previous QTC offers up a WIP of his/her own (limit-16 measures) to be completed in whatever way you desire. The community decides the winner.
200 million people have died because of a new deadly flu that's swept the world. Write an ode to the victims.
Write a theme song for an aspect of your life, for example when you're walking outside or during work/showering/having sex (these could be voted on before putting the contest up)
you are a soldier in world war three on the way to a battle with a resurgence of Nazi's in germany, when you are sneak attacked from the side. you choose if victorious
Poem-based piece (write the music to a poem or 2nd half of a poem, etc)
A cartoon type cat and mouse chase
You are hired to compose the new song for the title sequence in the new Bond installment.
Anesthesia wears off mid-surgery.
The last few seconds in a peaceful town before a nuclear explosion.
The NWO/Illuminati recruit you to write a theme song for them.
Write a percussive-only song.
You celebrate as you discover that you have been accepted into a prestegious university.
You are a WWE wrestler who needs an enterence theme.
You take a hit of LSD.
Christmas! In a volcano! With flying spider babies!
Santa's iPod shuffle has gone haywire. Christmas Medley!

This video game trailer doesn't have any music in it! Write some.
Used Ideas
A heavy metal hotel opens. write the muzac for the lifts
Now then, I plan to update this OP to contain all the suggestions. It will be a master list of the themes suggested. And I will strike out the ones as they get used, and paste them at the end of the line.
And perhaps from this thread, whenever a new QTC is offered, if the winner defers from doing the WIP-QTC or selecting a theme, we can use this thread to vote for the first three themes suggested (arbitrary rule I just made up and like, where each person only gets to vote for 1 theme), and then from those first three suggested themes, we create a new thread and vote on them.

So does anyone else have any potential themes they'd like to share? I have been thinking about the comments made about scenarios being too long and I have to agree. I'd like to go back to simple themes.
Anywho, I'll pitch a few picture ideas since I love those the most. (Click on the image for a higher resolution)
These were some of the images that were supposed to be used for "Chrono Tabber II", but that never really got off the ground.

A lot of those pics are pretty awesome. I'd vote for any and all of them. Actually - some of those have given me renewed ambition to kick my classical video game composing back up instead of these indie pieces.

I think writing some music for that video there would be cool.
'200 million people have died because of a new deadly flu that's swept the world. Write an ode to the victims'.
'Write a theme song for an aspect of your life, for example when you're walking outside or during work/showering/having sex' (these could be voted on before putting the contest up)

I'm about ready to move on to the next QTC. How will voting work again? (You can set it up if you'd like) Also, if you could put the theme authors in the original post so I don't have to look through the thread when setting up the contest, that would be great!

Hmm, well you won the previous contest. So if you don't want to suggest a theme, then I'd say the next three people to suggest a QTC theme here in this thread create the options for the next contest (only one suggestion per person). After three themes have been suggested, a new thread for that QTC is created, and a vote on those three themes takes place. Maybe the poll stays open for X days (3?), and after that, the winning theme starts.
I still think an interesting theme idea is for you to pitch us a WIP for a template, much like you did with the FF battle QTC. Some small piece of work you wouldn't mind capitulating. And then we work in that theme into our own QTC, in some capacity. Limit 2:00 length.
But if you don't want to offer up your theme (as is your reward), then just make a post opening the gates to the first three suggesters of a QTC theme. And if this is the case, I'd say that you can choose from any of those in the current pool (first post), but you're also welcome to suggest a new theme entirely.

Actually, this isn't a bad way to go either. What I had intended on was that you give the "ok" if you didn't want to specifically pick a theme, and then the first three to suggest one would be the ones we vote on. But this seems like a perfect hybrid anyways, since you had won the theme.
So I guess three of the options so far are:
The winner directly chooses the next theme. The winner picks three to vote on. The community selects three to vote on. (Perhaps best if the winner disappears or isn't much involved in the forums.)
